MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT THOMAS A. KENEFICK, III Overall, January proved to be a “red letter” month. Christina Turgeon’s hard work, at the direction of the Board of Directors, obtained for us a $15,000 grant from Mass Mutual to fund our legal clinic. This is obviously welcome news for our association and its endeavors to serve members of the public. Mass Mutual, too, through Dorothy Varon’s leadership....

The Consumer Legal Clinic which up to this point had been operating out of State Street is now in the process of moving its facility into the Bar Association office. The grant money for the project dried up and, because of its importance to both the Association and the community it serves, the Board agreed to underwrite its net costs for a period of six months... |
